Third Grading Period so far if the best part of my remaining hours in my Ilocos Sur National High School. Lots of sacrifices, sweat, blood, headaches, and laughters were felt, were shared. There was not a time where I can relax. Projects there, projects here, projects everywhere. In a week, its like we have 1,000,000,000 requirements. Uhhhh! But as a result of my hardwork, I got high scores and I topped several exams. And I'm pretty confident of having a good award.
I have learned further about time management. How to budget my time, and how to use every single second wisely.
There were lots of problems I encountered. LOTS! There was a time that I went up like I'm giving up. But I refused to do it. "Go lang ng Go!" in Filipino. And then, all I thought was that I can reap my sacrifices immediately, but no! Another mountain. I adressed these problems by fighting with it. A school work cannot let me down. I'm strong, you know?
Moving on, I'll do my best this coming last days of my stay here at my alma mater to-be. And within myself, I will make a history!

New Year, New Me! :D

Happy New Year! HAPPY NEW ME!
Through the years, its has been a belief that every time New Year comes, oneself's new self comes and replace the old self. People call it the New Year's Resolution. It is true that when you start something good, you'll end it up great. That is why many change when this special day comes. Many would be changing some traits, some hobbies, and some physical appearances. And many would be happy about their changes.
For me, all I want to change within myself is my study habits and also my socialization skills. It is because this 2012, I felt like I lack these 2 traits. Now, I'm gonna have those to the fullest. I hope I'll end 2013 and start 2014 even greater.
But you know what? Sometimes, I thought like I do not believe in a new year's resolution. Instead, I believe in an everyday resolution. Why? It is because we can change anytime. We do not have to wait anymore for a new year just to change. If it comes to our mind that we want a change, why not change?
From now on, I'll do my best to make a change in myself every day. T'will be a "New Day, New ME!"

GIFTS or LOVE?
Christmas is one of the most awaited days in the year. It is the day of birth of Jesus, who saves us all from harm. And that symbolizes his love for the people. He sacrificed his life only for us to continue living. So, this means that the meaning of Christmas is Love.
When we were still children, we were used to look for gifts. Some are not happy when they have no gift, and the ones having plenty, they are happy sky high. But didn't we realize that the gift that Jesus gave to us is the gift of Love? He had no pleasure at all. All he gave is have every person can gave to each other. He served a a role model.
It is a fact that many would say that the essence of Christmas is the giving of gifts. Well, it can be. Giving of gifts is sharing. But my fellows, giving a gift is not necessary if we cannot. What is important is to give our warmest love to the people we really love. People will say that your Christmas celebration is not that meaningful. Why? Because there are no gifts? Because you share a simple food? They have no strong basis at all. What rich people do not have that poor people have is the close family ties.
Take note, the food, the gifts, and etc are not that important, what is important is that you together with your loved ones are together, loving each other. God will tell then that you have a great Christmas celebration.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities
Every person came out from his/ her mother's womb. Rich or poor, they have the same origin. Originally, every person is treated equally and fairly. But why is it that the time we come out from that womb, we experience inequality? One big problem and one big reason is what we call Discrimination. Discrimination is the prejudicial or distinguishing treatment of an individual based on their actual or perceived membership on a certain group or category, such as their race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, national origin, or religion. This could be the restricting a member or two of a group the privileges and opportunities that are available to others. Laws involving discrimination exist in many countries. As a young citizen, I do not actually know the reason behind it in fact, in my younger years, I just ignore it.
Lets get into a simpler example before we get to that. Have you ever realized that discrimination could also occur in small groups like schools? Even your family. There could also be a discrimination. In school, it is observed that honor students are given more attention than regular students. Also rich students, especially in private schools, they are given more attention. As simple as that, we can call it discrimination. We can say that there is no discrimination if there is equality, if everyone gets the same treatment, opportunities, etc.
For this to happen, the most powerful group that should move to implement it are the authorities. They should make laws regarding equality and drop the laws which involves discrimination if possible. But we, ourselves if you can just realize, if we make change starting in ourselves, it would matter. Much a lot if all of us will do it. Come on, folks! Every person deserves equal rights and equal opportunities.

Climate Change: It's Getting Worse
Climate Change is one of the hottest topics of today. Based on the wikipedia, climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods raging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions, or in the distribution of weather around the average conditions. Climate Change are caused by factors that include oceanic processes, variation in solar radiation received by the earth, plate tectonics and volcanic eruptions, and human-included alternations of the natural world; these latter effects are currently causing global warming, and "climate change" is often used to describe human- specific impacts.
Climate Change affects lives of people, and their way of living. If we compare life a couple of years ago, we can see a big change, when it comes to clothing, housing, and technology.
Based on an article by Harris, activity of man which can affect the climate cannot be reserved or "undo"ed anymore. What we did is it. And the condition of the climate will never be better as ever again. Whatever people do, they cannot anymore restore their climate. All that we can do is just to help not to make it worse.
Just realize, if we just do our part as human beings the best way or even the simplest way we can, this should not be happening. Now that an indestructible mountain is here, let us never let it grow bigger. Just put it into mind that whatever we do, it should be selfless, we should think of it, think of the possible effects of the things we do. And when we find in ourselves that it is right, that's the only time we move.
