Oh...
Second grading period gave me a big pressure. The have been many times where I felt like giving up and just do nothing. From the different assignments, projects, to the different contests and appointments. I have learned many this time. I learned more about time management. I also learned further on how to do my work accurately even if there's a scarcity of time.
There were lots of problems w/c I had encountered. Mostly, I experienced stress, fatigue, and pain whenever I am in the middle of my unlimited work.
But I addressed these problems by letting my patience dominate within myself.
Moving on, I will try to have more work to do for myself to be better in the future.
English Proficiency: A need
"Upholding English Proficiency Through Communicative Competence." This is the theme for this year's English Month Celebration. The theme clearly expresses that we can improve our English proficiency through the competitive or frequent use of the English language. Through the frequent use of the language, we can thereby improve our skills; speaking, reading, communication, all.
In this modern world, we need to be proficient in English so that we can cope up with the modern life. This time forward, communication become more and more superb. In here, people should be good enough for them to live like one. We need to learn how to be fluent and articulate so that we can express ourselves well and understand others well.
"Upholding English Proficiency Trough Communicative Competence", this year's theme. Let us together promote the use and proficience of the English language. And together, let us explore the world, no fears, no problems, no bad at all, just fun, just happiness.
Scientricity... Energy Conservation!
Every month of October comes people called science clubbers to do their very important role. They sacrifice many to accomplish their part, to help save the planet. "Scientricity: Energizing Science Clubbers for Sustainable Energy." This is the theme for this year's Science Month Celebration.
In connection to this year's theme, the role of the people leaded by the science clubbers is to simply conserve energy. The 6- word theme only mean just 2 words, "Energy Conservation".
Energy is the main source of life. It is also the main source of everything that we can see. For this, it needs to be protected. If energy will not be conserved, there will be a time in the future that everything will gradually vanish, even us humans.
Energy is important to our lives. We need to take care of it so that it will take care of us back.

My Teacher, My Hero
Our world today, as we can see, is warmly embraced by progress. From the different inventions created to the betterment of mankind, to the main reason for success, the people. From the very famous and outstanding professionals, down to the simple workers and servants. For someone to be defined as a hero, many consider as a basis the powers that individual posses. The matching costumes, the flashy entrance, and the quotation made after a good deed. But for me, there is something missing.
Being a hero doesn't always mean that we have to have superpowers, costumes, and motto. Being a hero does not depend how strong or how big we are. Its just based on how we can help others and change their lives. We have idols, right? Doctors, Engineers, Architects, etc. We used to idolize these people and make being like them our ambition. But don't we know that there are certain people behind their success? People who turned them from nothing to great? These people are called teachers, the real heroes for me.
Teachers play a very important role in our lives. Without them, we are nothing and we will be nothing. They are the real heroes. Teachers are heroes.

JESUS, an Ancient, Modern, and Forever Hero
Through the years, many superheroes already appeared on earth and also on televisions. Liked, supported, and recognized by humans; kids, teenagers, adults and also senior citizens. They may be true, they may be not. Some are true, some are not. There came Captain America, Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Spider Man, and many, many more. There were also true-to- life heroes, there came Dr. Jose Rizal, Tandang Sora, Andres Bonifacio, Diego Silang, and also many, many more. All of these heroes have a certain goal, to help the people, to save them from trouble, and to protect everything.
In these modern years, many already do not recognize the true-to-life heroes and much more do not already believe with the television heroes. I, myself do not also recognize heroes because there wasn't a chance for me to meet them, even for the true-to-life ones. There is only just one hero for me. And that is Jesus. It is because he helps me, save me from trouble, and protects everything important to me. He is from the past, he is also with us in the present, and he will be always with us even in the future. Jesus is my modern- day hero. Even if I wasn't given a chance to personally meet him, I believe that I have already met him deep in my heart. He is my inspiration to my everyday life. He is the one who gives me strength, to whom I pray, thank, and for every victory, he is the one to whom I first look at. He is the one who gave me all, who gave me my all, which is my family.Jesus is my hero. I do believe that he was the hero of the ancient, still the hero of the modern, and always be a hero of the future.
Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagka- Pilipino
Every country is entitled with its own native language. Every country lives with its own language, and with all its corresponding dialects. With this, citizens should be praising their own languages. By what? By simply using it. Without proper and adequate use of a specific language, it is most likely that that certain country is already moderately dying. Imagine a country for example the Philippines with it's citizens using Chinese language, Japanese, Spanish, English, and others. It's horrible, right? The sense of being a Filipino of the citizens is dying because of the use of these foreign languages, which should not be.
The theme for this year's "Buwan ng Wika" is "Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagka- Pilipino". With the theme itself, as a Filipino citizen, we can hereby say that the sense of our Filipino- being is based on our proficiency on using our language. The theme, or we can say "message" is saying that the dominance of the Filipino language in the Philippines corresponds to the strength of the people's citizenship as Filipinos.
Let us just imagine the Philippines blessed with loyal citizens. All use Filipino and its dialects only; Ilocano, Bisaya, Ilonggo, Waray, etc. Isn't is great? In this case, the Philippines would face the world standing strong and the world will be encountering a country with loyal citizens, a small country that has a big love from its citizens. All we Filipinos have to do is to simply use our language, and the that dream above will not be impossible to happen.
This message is simple yet made sense. I hope that you, viewers would apply what you have read in this post.

Now I Know
For this year's first chapter of learning, I have learned many lessons and I have opened many closed doors. I learned and discovered where the internet came from, who are the people responsible for it, and the time when it began existing. I also learned further how to use different programs in the internet and I have also learned to love it. But most of all, I've learned how to use the Blogger. I was never interested of making an account with these kind of websites. But now I can get benefits from here that I can use at school.
There are certain problems I encountered. During the time that I am learning how to use the Blogger, I did not knew how to edit my posts and delete my dummy blogs.
I addressed these problems by spending more time with the website and studying its features.
Moving on, I will create my personal account where I can share my feelings, socialize and learn more.

A Year's Harvest: 2 Thumbs Up for Pnoy!
Through the years of the different administrations of the Republic of the Philippines, many programs were conducted, many laws were established, and many changes were made. In short, there is progress. Every year, presidents from different countries addresses their people with their accomplishments. In the Philippines, the SONA of the president is given more attention. Schools assign their students to make a self study about it. This year, it is the second time of the new president to delivers his words.
As a student and a Filipino citizen, I can say that the president did well this year. I really appreciate his work because compared to our work as children and students, his work is absolutely more difficult. If you can just imagine how 1 gut can face the problem of about 100 million people.
The administration did great! There are big improvements when its comes to the Economy, Tourism, Agriculture, Education, Environment, Crime and most of all, the Government. Many programs are also established like the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program which give benefits and services to indigent Filipino families. Certain improvements were also done with the health programs and jobs/ services. In there, they implemented benefits which gave access to PhilHealth 23 million more Filipinos. The unemployment rate also decreased causing the increase for sure of the employment rate. For our energy sector, the allocated more than 1 billion pesos to light up 1,500 sitios. The terrifying fight against ARMM and Mindanao was also stopped since peace was made. Projects were also made for the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. Ongoing projects were also established for the government workers' assurance, improved tax collection, doing business in the Philippines and many more.
At the last part of the President's SONA, he mentioned " With every step on the straight and righteous path, we plant the seeds of change." All he mean is that Filipinos are moving forward.
This year's State of the Nation Address is the first one that I have studied well since birth. I found out that there is a good fruit in every sacrifice. Two thumbs up for Pnoy!!!

Vegetables: Teammates for Nourishment
Eating vegetables everyday give us proper nutrition, strength, and a
healthy lifestyle. Eating vegetables prevents us from suffering horrible
sicknesses, it also gives us a healthier mind, a more slender body, and a
wealthier pocket. Yet vegetables are cheap, but they are the most precious
above all when its comes to nourishment. There we can find minerals, potassium,
calcium, iron, protein, retinol that improves our sense of sight, and thiamine
that makes our resistance stronger.
As a student, I can see a little problem why some people don't like to
eat vegetables. For me, it is because it does not taste really good like the
other foods. So, some people would prefer eating junk foods, and lots and lots
of meat, which is very dangerous to our health. People should know the value of
eating vegetables than eating junk. I see many reasons why to turn to
vegetables but I can't get to the point why some people chooses junk,
considering the fact that it is cheap, easy to prepare, safe for the body, and
very nutritious. This should be an alarm for the Department of Health. They
should convince people to eat vegetables more frequently rather than foods
which are not nutritious enough and can be a waste in our body.
We should eat vegetables, it nourishes our body, it makes us richer, and
it expand the span of our lives.
Letter to the President
Dear Mr. President,
Greetings!
It is a great privilege for a senior student like me to have this
opportunity to write you a letter. Well, it has quite been a long time when you
were elected as the president of the Philippines. For the two years that you've
been a servant of the people, I can say that you really did a good job and I
salute you for that. Even though many are complaining about your service, my
impression for you did not really changed at all because your duty is not easy.
Imagine, only one versus more than 90,000,000 people. If you can only share
with me the stress you're feeling right now.
I am very thankful that you have many projects in our place. The construction
and repair of public highways, scholarships, feeding programs, and many more.
Your projects would really help a lot. Even though if we view your help in a
higher position and we can see it small, it is not at all in our hearts.
But aside from my praises, I have still questions unanswered. Why is it
that in the scholarships here at our place, there are beneficiaries from
private schools? Isn't it that scholarships are only for the poor who are
deserving? For example if a person receives a scholarship and that person
studies at a private school, why wouldn't the authorized people transfer that
person to a public school? Another slot for scholarship will be vacant if
that's the case. Also the construction and replacement of public highways, why
is it that the men at work always sleep at times that they should be working?
Motorists would be very affected from that situation. Completion for the
project will be postponed and postponed. I am not angry, I'm not mad for this
instance but why?
Well, this is all I can say for now. Thank you very much for reading
this letter of mine and I hope that solutions will be made. Thank you Mr.
President!
Respectfully yours,
Christer Fetalvero
